Facebook Strategy Goals
Now that you have been using Facebook for a little while and started seeing how it can help your business, you can identify your strategy goals. The most effective strategy to employ when using Facebook for your organisation is to engage, interact and encourage participation – don’t just broadcast. And as with most things, one size does not fit all. Do your research and be mindful of your audience.
The first step is to decide what you want to achieve through your Fan Page:
Do you want to raise your organisation or community’s profile?
- Do you want to increase your customer base?
- Do you want to reach a specific community (young/old, ethnic groups)?
- Are you interested in raising revenue or increasing your income?
Break down your overall goals and assess where and how Facebook can help, but be realistic with what you want to achieve.
Share Others’ Content
Now that you are starting to ‘like’ other business Pages and Pages in your niche, you will start getting their posts in your ‘Pages feed’. You will find this feed on the left-hand column when you are on your Facebook Home page. Browse through the feed and find posts that you think your Page audience or customers will find interesting. Share them on your Fan Page. The owner of that Page will get a notification to say you have shared their post, so this is another way to network and to connect with other Pages.
